Charlie Yates Golf Course is a Public, 18-hole golf course located in Atlanta, Georgia.
You won't be able to play Atlanta's famed East Lake Golf Club without a connection, but you can see it from the Charlie Yates Golf Course. The 18-hole executive course is across the street and offers enough variety to make things fun. Located just four miles from downtown Atlanta, The Charlie Yates Golf Course at East Lake is a Par 58, mid-length course with Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass greens. The course plays to a maximum distance of 3,480 yards. The course rating is 56.2, and the slope rating is 109.
Charlie Yates Golf Course first opened for play in 1998. Rees Jones designed the course.
The Yates Course offers a mix of challenging Par 3's and 4's with remarkable views of the downtown Atlanta skyline.

This is an executive course that is very close to downtown atlanta. It's pretty nice but a little expensive. I guess you pay for the convenience. I really enjoyed the course and it's pretty challenging for an executive course. However, I had a coupon when I went and I would only go back if I had another one. I wouldn't pay full price because I'm from the area and know other places to get a better deal.

Yates golf course is a very nice executive layout and is consistently very well maintained.
The front nine is the more difficult nine. The three par 4-s on the front nine require straight, long drives to have a makable greens in regulation. Two of the par 3-s on the front are over 200 yards.
The greens are among the truest in Atlanta. This course will surprise you. It is very good. Price was $35 including the cart.
